This Daw is Old audio only no midi but don't let that fool you as starter daw it's fantastic and it's what led to Studio one by presonus. There is a ton free VST's that can make you guitar or what every sound great if you know how to use them.

This Daw getting poor ratings can only be from those who don't understand how to use it properly either with Pc set up or not knowing there own computer. There lots to learn you can find help at Kristal audio forums. If you need more then audio this daw is not for you but it's a great start.
