When I plug in the USB wireless receiver into my windows 8 laptop I get a notification that says the device has been recognised and the touchpad has been disabled, as it normally would. However when i click or move the mouse around, nothing happens. The mouse lights up and stuff but nothing happens on screen.
From what I can tell from the control panel, the drivers are up to date and working fine. The mouse was working fine yesterday, which leads me to believe that this might be a hardware problem. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue, or will I have to buy a new mouse? Thanks, any reply would be greatly appreciated. You know what? Surprisingly your advice worked! It must've come unpaired or something but I moved my hand from the left side and just kinda slammed on a couple of the buttons and it reconnected.
So there's that. I read online that if you held the middle mouse button and the right mouse button at the same time it would reestablish a connection, but that wasn't working, until I moved my hand from the left side. Thanks very much, will certainly be getting a new mouse as soon as I can, but this will work for right now.
